30 Day Card Challenge - Day 7

Today's card is one you "bought in person and the story behind it."

I'm not sure that many readers of my blog are familiar with my old blog.  If you are, you may have seen this story before.

I'm not going to retype the whole thing out again, but you can read it here.  Let's just say make sure you know what you're buying.  Information and knowledge are your friends.  I'm still thrilled to have this card, it's just not what I thought I was buying.  There's nobody to blame but myself.

If you're on Twitter, please give me a follow.  Happy collecting!

  1. Bummer bro. Just read the story behind this card. If it makes you feel any better, I couldn't tell the difference between the two cards and had I been looking for this card, I probably would have made the same mistake. It's still a beautiful card though.

    1. It's still a beautiful card that I want to get graded and I'm thrilled with it. Bednarik will always hold a fond place in my heart.

  2. I'm with Fuji. It just looks like the the '48 is cleaner or something. Great card either way.

    1. You're absolutely correct. The 48s are on a white stock and 49s are on gray stock. One of the two years has a small amount of the opposite stock, if I'm correct.
