As an Indians fan in the 1990s, Russell Branyan was the guy that I was waiting on to come up and be the next big thing. Unfortunately it didn't worked out as so many envisioned. It's a good thing eBay wasn't around in that 1995-97 range because I'd have spent way too much money buying up every Branyan card that I could have.
I was really excited about the success he had in his bounce-back 2009 and 2010 seasons and even had him on my fantasy team. He's had some off-the-field incidents and hopefully he can get and stay straight.
