Dime Box Buy: 1986 Fleer Chicago Cubs Team Sticker/Ed Walsh back

I didn't know anything about this when I first started the post.  Thanks to the interwebz (sepcifically Trading Card Database), I was able to figure it out.

This sticker/card combo was released with the 1986 Fleer set.  The sticker backs had "Famous Feats" on the back that had been previously used as a set in 1972.  All stickers had either two or three different backs.  The lone exception is the Chicago White Sox Pennant sticker, which appears to only have one back.

  1. A Cubs card with a White Sox back??? Sacrilege!!!

In all seriousness though, perfect card to post today, since it's the last day of the Crosstown Series.

    1. I thought the same thing about the Cubs/White Sox connection. However, when this was produced, the teams could have only played in the World Series.

Concerning the series today, pure happenstance!

  3. NIce pick up. Another great source for info on Fleer stickers is the blog http://fleersticker.blogspot.com/ It isn't updated too often, but the archives of it is a great resource for identifying pesky Fleer stickers.
