Shiny Red 'Hawks

In my buyback post I mentioned that I found a few things at a show last weekend.  The other lot of cards I picked up was five 2013-14 Prizm Red Pulsar Chicago Blackhawks.

I asked the seller what he wanted for the cards (they were in a binder and unpriced) and he said he could do $6 a card.  I know they aren't easy to come by, but I wasn't paying that much.  I told him I could find these online for $2 a card and he said he would do that.  Haggling is something I hate in the hobby and he was either going to say okay, or I was going to pass.

I love any Blackhawks cards with red or black borders.  Black is my first choice, but these are still some good-looking cards!

2013-14 Panini Prizm Red Pulsar Prizms #124 Duncan Keith
I actually picked up one of these on Sportlots recently but at $2 a card, I wasn't going to pass on another.  I figure it'll go into a box and someday I'll find someone that needs it.  These aren't easy to come by and Keith will be in the Hall of Fame.  I felt good with it.

2013-14 Panini Prizm Red Pulsar Prizms #125 Marian Hossa

2013-14 Panini Prizm Red Pulsar Prizms #126 Corey Crawford

2013-14 Panini Prizm Red Pulsar Prizms #127 Patrick Sharp

2013-14 Panini Prizm Red Pulsar Prizms #223 Ryan Stanton
I haven't looked at the checklist but I know I still need the Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane cards.  I believe there was another rookie in the set as well.  I believe it's just those three that I need to snag to complete the team set.  Some day, it'll happen.

If you shop online and haven't signed up and used ebates yet, you're missing out.  I also use it on eBay to get money back from purchases there.  Between referrals and cash back, I've gotten over $100 in about seven months.  FREE CARDS!  If you're on Twitter, please give me a follow.  Happy collecting!

  2. Those are awesome! I really can't say I remember Ryan Stanton, though.

    1. He's certainly one of the many unmemorable rookies from the last handful of seasons. The manufacturers are going to get any Hawks rookie in that they can! I do love the image and that he has the Cup. Think of all the men that have played and never had the chance.

  3. Red parallels are the best parallels... at least for Blackhawks cards, anyway!

  4. Those red parallels look sweet! They work really well with the white uniforms.
